Hi there!

I’m a writer, editor, and consultant based in Brooklyn. My work primarily focuses on home, design, lifestyle, and culture.

Put simply? I capture the beauty of environments and objects through words. I’m also interested in the humans behind these things — particularly how people’s backgrounds inform their style.

I’ve covered prominent figures including Anna Sheffield, Nilou Motamed, and Robin Arzón, among others. Uplifting underrepresented voices is always top of mind.

My work has appeared in Domino, Martha Stewart LivingLonny, Apartment Therapy, The Kitchn, Wine Enthusiast Magazine, and The Spruce, among others.  Along with editorial, I also cover branded content and social media strategy. This has included work with Sotheby's International Realty, Formica, Toyota, Sunbrella, and others.  Previously, I was an editor at Impact.

"Shagun was one of the very first writers I got the pleasure of managing and I have not regretted it since. Shagun exhibits a mastery or understanding of brand voice and speaks with a clear authority on the topics she covers.

As an editor, I cannot have asked for a better writer: Shagun is always on time with her pieces, submitting publish-ready work that only needs very minor updates. She knows how to roll with the punches of our constantly shifting publishing landscape and is phenomenal with adapting to new workflow changes.

She's an incredibly reliable writer who submits high-quality work for our sponsored editorial packages, as well as being my go-to for any last-minute assignments that I think would be a big hit with the right writer in the driver's seat. She's an incredible asset to any team and I'm proud to be her editor."
